Expert for temporary structures

The directive on the construction and operation of temporary structures (FlBauRL – administrative regulation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Construction and Tourism) requires:

The operator of a temporary structure or a sufficiently competent representative appointed by him must supervise the operation and ensure compliance with the operating instructions.

An expert is a person who, on the basis of his professional training and experience, has sufficient knowledge in the field of temporary structures (stages, grandstands, etc.) and is familiar with the relevant national occupational health and safety regulations, accident prevention regulations of the employers’ liability insurance association, guidelines and generally recognized rules of technology (e.g. DIN standards, VDE regulations, technical regulations of other member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area) to such an extent that he is able to implement the construction, operating and operating regulations of the temporary structure.

The operator must instruct the operating personnel at each installation site in particular about the operating instructions and what to do in the event of a power failure, fire, panic or other faults. The operating and operating instructions must be available to the operating personnel at all times.
